We use a blend of equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) and equine-assisted learning (EAL) to help people get back to work, or back on track with their careers, after a long absence. Our methods can be highly effective in helping people to access, secure and maintain work, even when they have been long-term unemployed.
Vocational rehabilitation may be needed for many reasons, or a complex blend of factors. Individuals may face cognitive, psychological, emotional or physical impairments which create barriers to employment. Example scenarios can include people who have been off sick for lengthy periods with long-term conditions; the chronically unemployed; those leaving prison; and those returning from military service to employment in the civilian world.
By working safely and gently with our horses and psychotherapists, individuals in need of vocational rehabilitation are able to identify and own any barriers to progress which may have developed within themselves as a result of their experiences. This then enables them to work with us to address these issues. Discover more about EAL.
