Personal problems at work
We work with employers to help individual employees address personal problems which may be affecting their work. Personal problems in the workplace can have a seriously negative effect on performance, teamwork, atmosphere, culture, and attitudes towards customers or service-users.
We use equine-assisted psychotherapy (EAP) to address issues including anger and poor impulse control; alcohol and/or drug abuse; depression, anxiety and stress; mental-health conditions; bullying (whether as victim or perpetrator); the effects of bereavement; lost confidence; living with long-term conditions; and more.
A person-centered approach
Our therapy is bespoke, because each interaction between the individual and the horses is unique. It is also delivered in a short series of 6 to 8 one-hour sessions (with usually only one block of sessions required), so it makes it easier for employers to budget for therapy.
Alongside other therapies
If the individual is already undergoing a different type of therapy, that does not cause a problem: the two can work together very well side-by-side, and EAP can often kick-start conventional therapies which have stalled.
