HorseThinking works with serving personnel, veterans, commissioners within the Army and related health professionals to treat the effects of combat-PTSD. (Read more about how we can help sufferers of combat-PTSD.)
At our specialist centre in the North of England, our highly trained and accredited psychotherapists and equine specialists bring combat-PTSD sufferers together with our horses in order to bring about positive change.
Since horses are acutely attuned to the emotions, attitudes and behaviours of those around them, their reactions to humans reveal a great deal about the individual. This process enables soldiers and veterans to identify and ‘own’ potential changes they need to make in themselves in order to alleviate their symptoms and improve their lives.
HorseThinking welcomes enquiries from those who either suffer from combat-PTSD or who commission or deliver therapeutic services in relation to this serious condition. We are happy to host no-obligation initial meetings, tours of our facility and introductions to our horses.
