Managing change & transformation
Trying to change or transform an organisation’s culture or direction — even small organisations — can be like trying to turn an oil tanker around. And yet this is the task of a leader: to get the whole team working together and moving in the same direction.
We use equine-assisted learning (EAL) to help leaders map out their strategy and build the courage and confidence they need for the task ahead. We also help teams of employees to understand and accept that strategy, and then to work together to achieve their objectives. Discover more about EAL.
By setting small challenges in working with horses, EAL gets teams of people working together co-operatively and to solve tasks which lie outside of their experience.
Here, job titles and traditional skills don’t matter, and so it’s often the most surprising individuals and the most lateral ideas which can work the best.
This methodology helps to dismantle unhelpful thinking, hierarchies and politics, and can bring new talent and new thinking to the fore — which are vital if transformation is to happen.
